The National Archives at Kew, there are no known plans to close Kew, only rumours.

All are welcome to attend this Free event.

10.35 Michael Gandy
Archives from the user’s viewpoint and planning a day at the archives.
Michael is a professional genealogist, author and lecturer.

11.30 Break

11.45 Julian Pooley
Who Do You Think They Were? Discovering the Lives and Experiences of Our Ancestors
Julian is an archivist and Public Services Manager at the Surrey History Centre.

12.45 to 2.00 Break, Visit Help Desk & Bookstall

2.00 John Phillips
Archives, Family History & Building Conservation: the case of Honeywood Museum, Carshalton
John recently retired as Sutton Borough Heritage Manager, he is a very experienced local historian and archaeologist.

3.00pm Break

3.30pm AGM of East Surrey Family History Society

4.00pm Doors close

Our Help Desk and Bookstall will be situated in the hall.

FOOD & DRINK
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available during the breaks.

For lunchtime there are pubs and cafes nearby,
also sandwich bars and supermarkets to buy something
which you can eat back at the hall,
or bring your own food.
