James PRATT

I am researching James PRATT, born about 1910.
Jim served with the crack cavalry regiment, the 10th Royal Hussars, of which he was very proud. He served in India in the 1930s; in WW2 he saw service in France, North Africa, including El Alamein, and Italy. After the war he served in Germany until he left the regiment in 1949.
I am looking for information on his life and family, including date and location of death (I guess, sadly, this must be expected in view of his age). I am also looking for his date and location of birth. Jim had some links with Sutton, Surrey in the late 1930s.

Can anyone link Jim with his family?

In my attempt to identify a birth date, from my knowledge of Jim's approximate age, I have encountered James Pratt born 4th December 1908 at Thornton Heath in Surrey, the son of James and Lily Pratt. This older James Pratt was born in Hertfordshire, (with associations with Ware and Willian), moving in his teens, c.1900 to Croydon to work as a milk carrier. His wife was Lily DOBSON, who had family links in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. James Pratt had a sister Jane Pratt and a brother John Pratt also living in Croydon, Surrey, and an uncle, William Pratt in Mitcham, Surrey (all three born in Hertfordshire).

Does anyone have any knowledge of James and Lily Pratt and their son James?

I am seeking further information on this family, which will either eliminate them from my research or link Jim with the correct family.

Help on furthering my knowledge of James Pratt would be greatly appreciated and comes with my sincere thanks.
