East Surrey FHS

WANTED – BOOKSTALL MANAGER

After 10 years of being responsible for the Bookstall, I have decided to retire gracefully.  Therefore ESFHS is looking for a young, fit and dynamic person (well, I was when I started!) with access to a car, to take over the running of the Bookstall at open days/fairs etc.  The main season runs from March to November with an open day roughly every month except when the WDYTYA show is on it will probably be 3 days.

The duties include ordering new stock, getting it ready for the day, taking to the venue, setting up and taking down again.  You will also need to be able to maintain records on a computer with Excel.  It is quite a physical job so you would need to be in good health with the ability to carry crates and boxes. If you are not able to store the stock and equipment other arrangements can be made.

Over the years I have developed a core of wonderful helpers (and I will still help whenever I can) so please do not think that you do this entirely on your own.

It really is a worthwhile position as you get to meet lots of members as well as potential members in different parts of the South East.

I am willing to stay on for the rest of the year and would be pleased to work with the new incumbent on a couple of events.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch (contact details on the back page of the Journal or on the website) and I will be happy to give a fuller picture.
